The Blues Deluxe Set is inspired by the legendary PAFs in Joe Bonamassa’s 1959 Les Paul Sunburst, faithfully recreated with the same attention and quality as in the 1950s. Each pickup is hand-wound and features our Special Alnico 2 (neck) and Alnico 3 (bridge) magnets, resulting in a unique, expressive tone.
The sound is rich, dynamic, and extremely harmonious, making it perfect for blues lovers. However, thanks to their balance, these pickups also excel in other styles — from jazz to classic rock, with light or heavy overdrive. Their crunch is simply outstanding.
The bridge pickup (Alnico 3) interacts in a very special way with overdrives: it doesn’t fully saturate, delivering a controlled, expressive crunch that gives this set its unique character.
Vintage (1 conductor + braided shield): classic look, ideal for traditional tones.
Modern (4 conductors + braided shield): allows coil split and other wiring variations.
